A L T E R N A T I V E D I S P U T E R E S O L U T I O N
Marvin's Master of Laws Degree thesis is entitled “Integrating Alternative Dispute Resolution Into Administrative Justice Systems: Improving Society and Justice” and was written in consultation with the Deputy Attorney General of Canada and the Department of Justice Canada. Marvin taught legal ethics and trial advocacy, and served as a negotiation and mediation coach at Osgoode Hall Law School. He has also served as a civil litigation and advocacy Instructor at the Law Society of Upper Canada, Bar Admission Course. Marvin co-authored a book entitled “A Puisne Judges’ Guide to Alternative Dispute Resolution: A Handbook for Canadian Judges on ADR in the Courts”, and published several articles, including “Pre-Trial Conferences and Alternative Dispute Resolution Techniques: Maximizing Settlement Potential”, and “ADR in the United States Federal Administrative Justice System -The Administrative Conference of the United States”. Marvin serves as an appointed member of the Private Court and an Arbitrator/Mediator at ADR Chambers Inc., an internationally renowned professional and private dispute resolution services provider in Toronto. He was the Chair of the ADR Institute of Ontario's Intellectual Property and Technology Section, and a Director of that organization. Marvin is also a founding member of the Chief Justice of Ontario’s Advisory Committee on Professionalism, and was appointed to the Competition Law and Policy Task Force of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. |
